Norwich Viking MCC held their trial at Cadders Hill, Lyng on the 8th March 2026.
70 riders turned out for this event which included Round 1 of the Eastern ACU "C" Class (Pre 70s) and Youth Beginners Championships.
Before the start of the trial our annual trophies were given out. Some of the cups awarded for our events can be dated back to 1936. They make for some interesting reading. A list of all our winners can be found on the NVMCC website.
The weather was great for a change, as we have had some very cold days on our last few trials on Cadders Hill. The trial was run over 10 sections and 4 laps, which went around the motocross track, and we were also able to use the small, wooded cops over the far field which spread the trial out and gave the riders a nice ride round. Our thanks go to the observers on the day and the guys (and gal) who set out the sections on Friday and Saturday, as without them there would be no trial.
The sections rode well. With section 6’s sandy bank and section 8’s loose bank round tree roots causing the most points to be lost.

This year sees Norwich Viking MCC celebrate their 100th anniversary as a club and 90 years of riding at Cadders Hill Lyng. Both a great achievement. A celebration is planned later in the year.
